RELATIONSHIPS ARE COMPLICATED

On the Road

You better go now.  I know.  Don’t want to wear out my welcome.  Come on in!  Won’t you stay?  What’s another couple hours, when each minute is a new secret revealed, another playback image for a long ride away or a long night alone.  We need the company right now to feel...Why do you keep me at an arm’s length?  Is it for your health?  Are you so nice you can’t bear to break another heart?  You are afraid.  The flesh is willing but the spirit is weak–afflicted by the past.  I want to feel what you feel.  Don’t push me away.  Let me in and I will show you that love is easy.  Why am I only propositioned by part-time assholes?  The offer tempts me but I can’t play your head games.
