I Don’t Even Know Your Last Name
Freedom. Free. Full of beauty and mystery. Intensely laid back. Our words mean nothing. A pathway to ecstasy or a free meal. I can see the child in you as you seduce me with your meaningless words. Your interest in me runs skin-deep but I try to plant the seed of curiosity in you. Fuck your prayers and your charisma and your love for children. Show me who you are. Time is closing in on us, taking my breath away. Wait and you’re gone. Push forward and I might fall into the closing gap between you and I. You’ve got something I want, but maybe it’s not mine to take. You strain to see me as I walk away but then relax, knowing I’ll be back again. There are other fish in the sea.
